On 19 November 2011 16 upcoming SA Fashion Designers from the Über Glam School of Fashion will be showcasing their talent on the runway.

Designers, models, hair stylists and make-up artists will all have the opportunity to compete for the Über Glam Titles of the Year.

A platform for local designers to showcase their talent

As Über Glam’s owner Lelanie Jaques states “By hosting this event we intend to open as many doors as possible for our talented students, upcoming models, hair stylists and make-up artists, and encourage skills development and entrepreneurship in South Africa. The show also supports and motivates our design students, as well as upcoming models, make-up artists and hair stylists, by providing them with a platform to showcase their talents to the public. Students either do part time or full time fashion design courses which include Clothing Design and Construction, 3-Dimensional Design and Fashion Illustration.”

Looking for public support

Über Glam School of Fashion are calling on media, members of the community, clothing shop- and boutique owners to support our local talented young fashion design entrepreneurs showcasing outfits for the collections ranging from casual, gym, and corporate, to evening and bridal wear.

Event details

The event takes place on 19 November 2011 at the Rand Park Golf Club, Azalea Hall. Celebrities, VIPS and members of the public and media will be in attendance. Tickets are seated and cost R120 each.

A glamorous affair

The dress code for the event is formal, so glitz and glam black-tie is the order of the day.
